Anne was born May 25, 1922 and raised on the family homestead. Anne was no stranger to hard work and loved the companionship of her brothers and sisters. In 1940, she graduated from Winifred High School. Anne had many wonderful memories of her childhood and siblings. She held those memories close to her heart. She remained close with her siblings and enjoyed reminiscing with them about the hard work and fun they had on the farm.

On October 30, 1940, Anne married Clifton Lund at the Catholic church in Hilger, Montana. Together, Anne and Cliff raised eight children and family was always her priority. Anne also worked at the Leland Hotel as a housekeeper and cook assistant. Later, she worked as an aide for a short time at the Governor’s Home until its closing. Anne was a long-time parishioner of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and was a member of the Alter Society, St. Rita’s Guild and later, the St. John’s Guild. Anne’s happiest times were spent surrounded by her children, and their families, traveling with her brother John and son Kevin and visits with her nephew Joe Vavrovsky. Anne loved to sit out on her porch, enjoy the sunshine and wait for any visitors that may stop by for a cup of coffee and a good conversation.
