Arod E. Moberley, Jr., 86 of Lewistown died early Tuesday morning, March 30th, 2021 at his home of natural causes. He was born October 20, 1934 in Lewistown the son of Arod E. & Alice N. (Shoemaker) Moberley, Sr. He received his schooling in the Fishburn School in Central Montana and Fergus High School. On December 8th 1952 he entered the United States Army serving during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He received his honorable discharge on November 23, 1955 and returned to Lewistown. He worked at the Fergus County Creamery until his marriage on May 29, 1958 to Jacqueline Delage in Lewistown. They made their home in Lewistown and he worked as a ranchhand for a local rancher and later worked for Dan Morrison and Sons Implement. He worked on the Missile Installation for one year and then began working for Fergus County in the Road Department and then at the Fair Grounds until his retirement in 1990 after 27 years with Fergus County.
He instilled the love of camping and the outdoors with his family. Enjoying the mountains and later purchasing a cabin where many family memories were created. He was a man of principle who taught his children the value of honesty and a strong work ethic, while also sharing his dry sense of humor (pull my finger). His other hobbies were fishing, hunting and wood working. His greatest legacy was the bond of family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jacqueline of Lewistown; children Mark (Rachel) of Great Falls, MT, Donna (Steve) Paulson of Lewistown and Gordon (Lana) of Kalispell, MT; one sister Elvira Strouf of Lewistown, MT; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside Memorial Services for Arod E. Moberley will be Saturday, May 29th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Central Montana Memorial Gardens, cremation has taken place. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
