Charles F. Yaeger, Jr. 80 of Hilger died Sunday afternoon, December 10th, 2017 at his home of natural causes. He was born March 9th, 1937 in Lewistown the son of Charles F. and Esther J. (King) Yaeger, Sr. He received his schooling in Lewistown graduating from Fergus High School in 1955. He then went to Montana State College in Bozeman, returning home following the death of his father to work on the ranch. On May 22, 1959 he was united in marriage to Mary Rose (Rosie) Raw in Lewistown and they made their home on the Armells Ranch near Hilger.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a 50-year member and Past Master of Friendship Lodge #37 AF & AM of Lewistown, Life Member of the Al BeDoo Shrine, Scottish Rite, York Rite Bodies, a DeMolay Dad and an original member of the Lewistown Shrine Klown Club.
Charles was a problem solver, fabricator, welder, loved cattle, sheep and most any animal. He was the glue that kept things together even in dismal times. He was always ready to share a new joke with anyone who wanted to listen. His talents were many, to Charles family and friends always came first.
He is survived by sons Corey (Angela) of Tifton, GA and Chris (Gisele) of Hilger, MT; brother James Yaeger of Lewistown; one sister-in-law Betty Yaeger of Lewistown; eight grandchildren Stephanie (Zack), Clayton, Natalie, Noah, Nadia, Bryce, Travis and Cassandra; two great grandchildren Miriam and Jack and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife on November 17th, his brother Larry on April 9th, one daughter Cynthia Thompson, one son Chuckie, one granddaughter Kayla and his parents.
Funeral Services for Charles F. Yaeger, Jr. will be Monday, December 18th, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church; private family interment will be in the Roy Cemetery at a later time. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Friends are asked to make memorials to the Lewistown Masonic Building Trust Fund, Shrine Transportation Trust or the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
