Deborah Marie Haman

February 16, 1958 — September 20, 2024

Lewistown

Deborah Marie Haman, 66, of Beckett, MT passed away peacefully Friday, September 20, 2024 in Lewistown. She was born February 16, 1958 in Springdale, Arkansas to her parents Roy and Mary (Allen) Calhoun.

Debbie and her family moved to Billings, MT, where she was raised and graduated from Senior High School in 1976. On July 1, 1983, Debbie married Roger Haman. Eventually, Debbie and Roger made their way from Billings to Beckett (outside of Grass Range) to make it their final home. Debbie’s career was being a culinary cook for most of her life, she loved to cook and bake her specialties for family and friends.

Debbie found great pleasure and joy in helping out her friends and her community whenever she could. Debbie’s front door was always open for people to swing by and say Hi and she made sure they left with her homemade peanut butter cookies. Debbie also took the opportunity to show off her always-growing collection of pigs. She had many hobbies from bowling, many 300-point games, to baking, crocheting, gardening, canning, and shooting to fishing and hunting. One of Debbie’s favorite times of year was hunting season as she knew there was going to be a knock at her door from her grandson Kurtis and great-grandkids anxiously waiting to make new memories and stories of hunting with her. She was always there to teach hunting safety and where to find the best bucks around.

Debbie will be deeply missed by her family, dogs (Jimmy Dean and Johnny Cash), friends and her community.

She was survived by her mother Mary Allan Calhoun, sister Betty Black, brother Troy Calhoun, stepdaughters Teresa Peltzer, Valarie (Bill) Giesick, grandchildren Trever Haman, Kurtis (JoAnna) Bellamy, Brandie Peltzer, Garrett Peltzer, and great-grandchildren Kiernan Haman, Branden, Kameron, Kayden, Kylie, Kamille Bellamy, Shaelynn Peltzer, Seamus Peltzer, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband Roger Haman, father Roy Calhoun, brother Kevin Calhoun, stepson Rodney Haman and son-in-law Westley Peltzer.

There will be a gathering to celebrate her life on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the Grass Range Fire Hall, 607 Main Street, Grass Range, MT.
