Today a golden heart has quit beating. And so, Mom we say well done, good and faithful servant. You have enriched our lives and now we place you in the arms of Jesus. Dora W (Walter) Stahl 89 died June 25,2020 surrounded by her loving family, Dora was born the daughter of Jacob and Susanna (Hofer) Walter on March 31, 1931 in Lethbridge, Alberta Canada. Dora was the seventh of 10 children at the age of 4 years old Dora lost her mother and gain a stepmother 5 years later. In 1944, Dora moved to Spring Creek Colony near Lewistown, Montana
On June 3, 1951 she married her soulmate Joe A Stahl at the Ayers Colony, they were blessed with 66 wonderful years together and to this happy union eight children were born. In 1975, she relocated to the Fords Creek Colony where she diligently and gracefully worked hard to establish a firm foundation for the future generation.
First and foremost, Dora was dedicated and devoted to her Christian Hutterian heritage, faith and belief, until the very end she was a shining example of her love for the Lords Words, works and wonders.
Throughout Dora's life she was always the cornerstone of the home, she was quiet, a lady of few words, no task was left undone and it was thoroughly done. She was an excellent homemaker, talented seamstress and awesome head cook for many years.
Dora also loved nature and the outdoors, gardening and flowers were her passion.
Dora is survived by her children, Josie (ED) Stahl of Deerfield Colony, Susan Stahl of Fords Creek Colony, Ruth (Herb) Hofer of East Raymond Colony, Glen (Judy) Stahl of Shepherd, MT, Rev. Frank (Kathy) Stahl of Fords Creek Colony, Dorothy (Tim) Stahl Surprise Creek Colony, Eileen (Dave) Hofer East Raymond Colony, Robert (Lydia) Stahl of Fords Creek Colony; brother Darius (Mary) Walter of Spring Creek Colony; three sisters-in-law Katie, Rachel and Kathryn Walter of Spring Creek Colony; 24 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 4 extended grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe A Stahl on December 23, 2017, her parents; five brothers Jake, George, Elias, Joseph and Paul, two brothers in child birth and 6-year-old special sister Anna; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Funeral Services for Dora W. Stahl will be Sunday, June 28th, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.at the Fords Creek Colony with committal to follow in the Fords Creek Colony Cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
