Elma H. Stone

Elma H. Stone, 97, of Lewistown, passed away Wednesday (June 13, 2018) at the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown.

She was born July 26, 1920 in Comstock, Nebraska to Frank and Kamila (Cernik) Hruby, the oldest of 6 children. She attended rural grade school there and later Ord, NE High School.

On September 30, 1938 she married Robert W. Stone.

They moved to California where Robert worked as a logger for a time. Then they moved to Judith Gap, MT where they ranched for many years before moving to Lewistown in 1958, where Robert was a Cattle buyer up until his death in 1978.

She was very active in the United Methodist Church and had served as past Worthy Matron of the Marie Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #36, 1986-1987.

She enjoyed baking, decorating cakes and mints and also loved her garden and flowers.

She is survived by her son, Bob (Andra) Stone and her daughter, Carolyn Stone both of Lewistown.

Grandson, Robert D. (Christy) Stone, children; Mariah and Kaylee. Granddaughter, Amy (Bret) Miller, children; Walker, Evelyn and Conner

Brothers; Frank, Robert and Edwin. Sisters; Minnie and Evelyn.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert and a brother Robert.

Graveside services and Eastern Star services, will be Wednesday (June 20^th) 2:00 PM at the Judith Gap Cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Central Montana, United Methodist Church or the charity of their choice, and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
