Frances L. 'Fran' Coats

Frances L. "Fran" Coats 65 of Lewistown died Tuesday afternoon at the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes. She was born July 24, 1955 in Rock Springs, WY the daughter of Darwin and Phyllis J. (Frye) Collins. She received her schooling in Wyoming. She met and married her soulmate Merlin Coats on March 28, 1975 in Casper, WY, a marriage that has lasted 45 years. They lived in Casper and Sheridan, WY until moving to Lewistown in 2000. She worked in the healthcare industry until her retirement a few years ago.

Fran enjoyed bowling and time with family.

She is survived by her husband Merlin of Lewistown; two daughters Dixie Ellis in Florida and Dawn (Chris) Feller of Lewistown; three brother Dan Collins of Green River, WY, Don Collins of Rock Springs, WY and Duane Collins of Lewistown, MT; one sister pam Galey of Reno, NV; one grandchild Brady Feller.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

No Services will be held at this time for Fran Coats, cremation has taken place with the Cloyd Funeral Home assisting the family.
