Georgianna Johnstone

July 30, 1952 — February 14, 2018

Georgianna "Georgie" "Jeje" R. Johnstone 65 of Stanford died Friday evening at her home in Stanford. She was born July 30, 1952 in Helena, MT the daughter of Ralph E. and Lenora "Jeanne" (Patterson) Rowland. She received her education in the Montague School in Choteau County, Beaver Creek School and Fergus High School graduating in 1970. She then attended Beauty School in Great Falls. She began working as a bar tender in Great Falls and as a cook in hunting camps going into the Bob Marshall for several years. She purchased the bar in Geraldine which she operated for several years. She moved to Columbia Falls and on August 26, 1999 she was united in marriage to Patrick W. Johnstone in Fort Benton. They continued to live in Columbia Falls where she worked as a bar tender and he worked for the railroad. In 2010 he retired from the railroad and they moved to Fort Benton to be closer to family. He preceded her in death in 2016 and she moved to Stanford. She made her home in Stanford until the time of her death.

She is a member and President of the American Legion Auxiliary in Geraldine, life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of the Eagles Auxiliary of Columbia Falls.

She is survived by her mother Jeanne Rowland, sisters Melody (Dale) Skinner and Dolores (John) Sramek all of Stanford, MT; brothers Dan (Marci) Rowland of Geraldine, MT and Ron (Kim) Rowland of Casa Grande, AZ; step-daughters Jennifer (Ben) Johnstone of Whitefish, MT and Dani (Doug) Koenig of Stilwell, KS; step-son Jason Longsworth of Spokane, WA; mother-in-law Audrey Johnstone; sister-in-law Pam Johnstone and Jayme (Mike) Kline all of Great Falls, MT; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her father Ralph, one brother, one brother-in-law and one step-daughter.

A Celebration of Life for Jeje and Pat Johnstone will be held this summer in Geraldine. Cremation has taken place. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
