Gordon D. Krogedal

July 17, 1937 — March 31, 2020

Gordon Krogedal 82 of Billings passed away Tuesday morning, March 31, 2020 in St. Vincent Healthcare of natural causes. He was born July 17, 1937 in Froid, Montana the son of Art and Martha (Hanson) Krogedal and was one of four children. He attended school in Froid and was the best and worst student in the 4th & 8th grade cuz he was the only one in the class. After graduation from Froid High School he moved to Lewistown and worked for Roy's Tire Company and drove cattle truck.

After leaving Lewistown, he moved with his family to Great Falls and he worked at Great Falls Tire Company. They later moved to Butte and he worked for Rocky Mountain Tire Equipment and returned to Froid for a short time. They moved to Denton where he managed a large hog operation for 6 years.

In the late 1980's he moved to Idaho where he worked in the RV business at which time, he became a Master Certified RV Technician.

He enjoyed the outdoors with his girls and their families. His greatest love was hunting and he always had many stories to share about his past hunting successes.

In his retirement years, he resided in Billings where he made many friends at the senior center and the VFW where he loved playing cribbage and pinochle.

He is survived by three daughters, Connie Carson of Helena, Twana (Fred) Bourke of Billings and Roxann (Greg) Buckentin of Denton; two sisters Bernie Grovom of Helena, MT, Linda (Al) Lien of Butte, MT; one sister-in-law Sharon Krogedal of Froid, MT; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Merle, grandson Mark Buckentin; brothers-in-law Farrel Lien and Harold Grovom.

A family gathering for Gordon Krogedal will be held later, cremation has taken place. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
