Helen C. Brown

Helen C. Brown 83 of Hilger died Saturday evening, July 27^th, 2019 in Valle Vista Manor of cancer. She was born January 16, 1936 in Lewistown the daughter of Oral T. and Katherine (Stipech) Jones. She started her schooling in country schools and then Lewistown Schools and Fergus High School.

On February 10, 1954 she was united in marriage to Merrill K. Brown in Lewistown. They made their home near Winifred and raised their family. They both worked on ranches in northern Fergus County. He preceded her in death in 1987. She continued living near Hilger and working until entering Valle Vista Manor earlier this month.

Helen loved animals and she started sewing, crocheting and making rugs in the last few years.

She is survived by one daughter Jessie Brown of Lewistown; one sister Kathy Lemke in Washington; Six grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her son Andrew in 1995, one brother Robert Jones and her parents.

Memorial Services for Helen C. Brown will be Sunday, August 11^th, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the Winifred United Methodist Church with committal in the Winifred Cemetery. A reception will be held in the Winifred Community Center The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family, cremation has taken place.
