James P. Gidley 90 of Judith Gap and formerly of Moore died Saturday morning, October 31, 2020 in the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes. He was born October 16, 1930 in Brockton, MT the son of James W. and Ella (Foreman) Gidley. He received his education in Montana and Oregon. He then worked on farms in the Wolf Point area and on October 16, 1948 he was united in marriage to Rose Tymofichuk in Sidney, MT. They lived in Sidney and he worked in the Feed Lot until 1962 when they moved to Lewistown. He worked for Keith Royston and for Demorise Allen, Sr for three years and then began working at the Moore Farmer Oil until he retired in 1995. They continued to make their home in Moore during retirement. In 2012 he moved to the assisted living in Judith Gap.
James enjoyed tinkering in the garage, working on cars, fishing and time with family.
He is survived by his wife Rose of Moore, MT; son Robert (Mary) of Marysville, WA; daughters Janice Spoonheim of Moore, MT, Wanda Hebert of San Antonia, TX and Laura Yates of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson Robert Spoonheim, his parents, one brother and four sisters.
No Services will be held at this time for James Gidley, cremation has taken place at his request with the Cloyd Funeral Home assisting the family.
