Janet R. Burnham died early Monday morning, May 21st, 2018 at her home of natural causes. She was born April 21st, 1946 in Lewistown to Jim and Sally Comes. She attended elementary school in Ware and graduated from St. Leo's High School in 1964. She then attended Carroll College in Helena for nursing school, completing her degree at St. Vincent School of Nursing in Billings. On June 24, 1967 she was united in marriage to David J. Burnham in Fort Bragg, NC. They made their home and raised their family in Lewistown. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, with the majority of her career at the Montana Center for the Aged. She retired due to health reasons in the mid 1990's.
Janet enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles with friends and family. She also loved to read, sew, garden and spend time with family. All animals were very dear to her, especially her cats.
She was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 51 years, Dave of Lewistown; one daughter Kim (Mark) Rapkoch of Laurel, MT; one son Greg (Lisa) of Billings, MT; one brother Gene Comes of Billings, MT; one sister Marilyn (Leo) Barrick of Lewistown, MT; seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyle, Mariah, Brandon, Brock, Peyton, and Mykayla; two great grandchildren Brynlee and Greysen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
No services will be held at this time; Cremation has taken place. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
