Jeanne M. Trafton

Jeanne M. Trafton, 90, of Lewistown, passed away on November 4, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born to Harold Harlow and Josephine Margaret (Charlebois) Haines on April 9, 1931, in Miles City, Montana. Jeanne grew up in Terry, Montana, and graduated from Custer County High School in Miles City, Montana.

Jeanne married the love of her life, Earl "Tubby" Trafton, on July 5, 1949, in Miles City and they were married for 62 years when he passed away in 2011. They made their home in Miles City to raise their two children. In 1967 the family moved to Lewistown where Jeanne worked at McDonald's Clothing Store, Rogers Jewelry, and in the beverage industry.

Jeanne was very fond of cheerleading in high school and throughout her life she enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, cribbage, playing cards, and baking. Jeanne loved being with her family and friends and enjoyed visiting and spending time together. She had a glimmer in her eye, a clever wit, and loved to laugh and tell stories! She will be missed and loved forever!

Jeanne is survived by her son, Steve (Michelle) Trafton of Lewistown; her grandchildren, Courtney (Kyle) Moline, Kyle, Tanner, and Taylin Trafton, Marnie Witt, and Justin & Kory Kindsfather; great-grandchildren Nolan Fry, Mya Moline, Harper and Owen Trafton, Kiera Herson, and Trey Bullock.

In addition to her husband, Jeanne was preceded in death by one son, Mark, of Missoula, Montana, her parents, and one brother, Robert Haines, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Memorial Services for Jeanne Trafton will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewistown on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 1:00 pm with a reception to follow. A private committal will take place at the Lewistown City Cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
