Joan E. Feller

Joan Ellen Feller, 78 of Lewistown died early Saturday morning, December 16th, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born August 23, 1939 in Great Falls, Montana the daughter of Victor and Ellen (Vice) Osweiler. She received her education at Fleming School near Eden, Stockett Elementary School and finished at Centerville High School. On September 29, 1956 she was united in marriage to Harvey Feller in Great Falls.  They made their home in Tracy until 1962 when they moved to Lewistown.  She served as the house mother for the School of Nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital for one year. She went to work as a bookkeeper at the Cenex Station in Lewistown and upon it closing she became the bookkeeper for KXLO radio and finally the Cenex Station in Moore until her retirement. 

Joan, better known as Joanie, loved being around her family. Her favorite gathering place was the Garbin, their cabin at Hauser Lake. Many special family vacations and summer holidays were spent with family and friends building many special memories. She was all about her children and grandchildren, following them in many of their activities especially athletics. She and Harvey enjoyed traveling with her sisters and brothers-in-law on summer vacations. She also enjoyed playing cards, marbles, and socializing. Joanie was always the life of the party and the last to leave. 

She is survived by her husband Harvey of Lewistown; sons Rick (Sherri) of Ephrata, WA, Terry of Billings, MT, Jerry (Michelle) of Missoula, MT and Victor (Tammy) of Lewistown, MT; one daughter Sherri (Jerry) Schmitz of Great Falls, MT; two sisters Barbara Francetich of Tracy, MT and Vicki (Ken) Sappington of Great Falls, MT; 21 grandchildren; Josh (Emily) Feller, Cody (Ashton) Feller, McKenzie (Jake) Mattfeldt, Samuel Feller, Jeremy Stewart, Jalynn (Justin Bickford) Stewart, Ryan (Cheri) Feller, Brandon Feller, Teryn (Devin) Allie, Jourdan (Katrina) Feller, McCalle  Feller, Tori Feller, Carson Feller, Kristi Wynne, Kayli Wynne, Kourtni Wynne,  Megan (Jeff) Graham, Michela Westhoff, Jeramy Westhoff, Jerry Schmitz, Matt Schmitz and Molly Schmitz; 19 Great Grandchildren, Triston Feller, Adi Feller, Hudson Feller, Nova Mattfeldt, Hazen Voorhis, Avree Bickford, Daelyn  Feller, Isla Feller, Olive Feller, Mason Rickhoff,  Hank Nelson, Haydin Ransom, Exavier Ransom, Cadence Graham, Elli Graham, Jace Graham, Jimmer Graham, Noah Westhoff and Maddux Westhoff and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Ed Rea, brother-in-law Alan Francetich, and granddaughter Kelsi Wynne. 

Memorial Services for Joanie Feller will be Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Christian Church, committal will be in the Sand Coulee Cemetery at a later date.  The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
