Joe H. Rogers 83 of Lewistown died Monday morning, May 6th, 2019 in the Central Montana Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born February 26, 1936 in Finch, Montana in Rosebud County the son of Hershel and Rose (Lamb) Rogers. He received his education in Rosebud schools. He was united in marriage to Ruth I. Schaak on January 14, 1956 in Miles City, MT. They made their home in Rosebud, later moving to Forsyth, Hardin and Miles City before settling in Lewistown. He worked as a Parts Man and later Parts Manager at Moodie Implement until his retirement.
Joe enjoyed his yardwork, considered by many to be a "master gardener", wood working and was very mechanical.
He was a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church in Lewistown.
He is survived by his children Steve (Christy) Rogers and Kathy (Dave) Ruckman of Lewistown and Deanna Berg-Bowen of Lewiston, ID; six grandchildren Donald (Shannon) Berg, Josh (Alisha Lowery) Berg, Dawn Teppert and Beth (Tyler) Hollenbeck, Chad (Chelsey) Rogers, Sonya (Evan) Stokken; 6 great grandchildren, Donny Berg, Kendall Teppert, Colton and Madilyn Berg, Hudson and Trey Stokken; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth in 2015, sons-in-law Donald R. Berg and Bob Bowen, his parents, three brothers and one sister.
Memorial Services for Joe H. Rogers will be Friday, May 17th, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in Christ the King Lutheran Church, committal has taken place in the Lewistown City Cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
