John H. Southworth

John H. Southworth, 64, of Lewistown, died early Sunday morning, September 11, 2016 at his home of natural causes.

He was born on October 21, 1951 in Billings, MT the son of Wayne C. and Ardis J. (Kinney) Southworth. He received his schooling in Lewistown graduating from Fergus High School in 1970. He then began his career working at Anthony’s Clothing Store in Lewistown. On August 29, 1971 he was united in marriage to Kathryne Liedes in Lewistown.

John served in the Montana Army National Guard from 1970 to 1975. He continued working for C.R. Anthony’s as a manager in several places including Lewistown and Billings until 1990. They returned to Lewistown and he worked at Big Spring Water. In 1992 he was manager and Secretary of the Lewistown Eagles Club a position he held until 1997. He then worked at Allied Steel in Lewistown until starting his own construction business John of All Trades in 1999. John loved the construction business and continued with his business until 2015.

John loved his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren, especially this summer when he was able to take each of his children and his grandson on a fishing trip, as John loved to fish. John also enjoyed hunting and spending time with friends, either helping them or just visiting.

He was a member of the Eagles Lodge #374 of Lewistown and the American Legion Club of Lewistown.

John is survived by his wife of 45 years Kathie; son David (Leslie); daughters Danielle (Kiel) Randle and Darci Southworth; brother Jim (Patty) all of Lewistown; nine grandchildren Karlie, Dawson, Jayda, Korbyn, Lyndon, Maddie, Izzy, Carson and Finn and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life for John H. Southworth will be Friday, September 16th, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. in the Eagles Hall, cremation has taken place at his request. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
