June E. Griffin of Lewistown died early Friday morning, March 29, 2019 at her home of natural causes. She was born June 30, 1930 in the Bronx, New York. She received most of her schooling in Wolfeboro, N.H. June was united in marriage to Richard (Dick) Griffin on April 28, 1959 in Morehead City, N.C. while he was serving in the United States Army. They lived on several military installations in the United States, as well as three years in Germany, and later returned to the U.S.
After her husband's retirement from the military, June finished her schooling and graduated at the top of her nursing class. Her and her husband lived in several places in the U.S. before finally settling in Lewistown, MT. in 1995.
June loved her husband dearly, her pets, helping people, shoveling sidewalks in the winter and working for the Pink Ladies (currently called the Central Montana Medical Center Auxiliary).
She was a member of New Life Assembly of God for 24 years. Anyone who knew June knew she was a God-fearing woman, full of spice, and always willing to help people. Though she is already greatly missed, we know that she is with her Savior, Jesus and no longer in any pain.
She is survived by her husband Dick of Lewistown, several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and "adopted family".
Memorial services for June E. Griffin will be Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Assembly of God in Lewistown. Cremation has taken place with Cloyd Funeral Home assisting the family.
Friends are asked to make memorials to the charity of their choice, and they may be left at Cloyd Funeral Home. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
