Kaylub M. Maetche

Kaylub M. Maetche, 34 of Sand Springs, MT, died December 10, 2016 in an automobile accident east of Winnett, MT. He was born May 11, 1982 in Havre, MT to parents Marvin Maetche and Sallie Raty. Kaylub grew up in Chinook, MT with his three brothers, Jake, Kenny and Nick. He received his education in Chinook, graduating from Chinook High School in 2000. After high school, he attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ graduating with a mechanics degree. On May 3, 2002, Kaylub was united in marriage to Emily Grabofsky in Las Vegas, NV. They had a son, Christopher and a daughter, Kaly. Kaylub and Emily later divorced.

Kaylub always loved life to the fullest and lived it his own way. He truly loved ranching and was a very hardworking and loyal employee. He always was generous and willing to lend a helping hand. The best of Kaylub shines bright in his two children, Chris and Kaly. They were his greatest loves and getting to be their father was what made him proudest.                         

He is survived by his son, Chris Maetche and his daughter, Kaly both of Winnett, MT; three brothers, Jake (Lexi) of Peck, ID, Kenny of Shelby, MT and Nick (Amy) of Roundup, MT; his mother, Sallie (Aaron) Brown of Meridian, ID and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and many, many friends.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Maetche; grandparents, Delores and Marvin Maetche and grandfather, Horace Raty.

Memorial services for Kaylub Maetche will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Winnett High School Gymnasium. Inurnment services will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Blaine County Cemetery in Chinook, MT. Cremation has taken place. Cloyd Funeral Home & Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Friends are asked to make memorials to the Chris and Kaly Trust Fund and may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home or Valley Federal Credit Union in Roundup, MT. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com
