Leonard J. Stahl, 94, was born in Opheim, Montana, on April 8, 1930, to Harry and J. Ruth Stahl. He was one of seven children. Leonard went to meet the Lord on December 20, 2024.
Leonard was a happy man and always loved a joke. He loved the mountains, hunting, fishing, and camping. Most of all, he loved God and the family that God blessed him with.
Leonard proudly served his country and retired with military honors.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ruth Stahl; four brothers, Carl, Irvin, Daryl, and Will; one sister, Lois Johnson; one granddaughter, Rea Morgan; and one great-grandson, Samuel Sipes.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Leona, of 46 years; his sister, Mary Ann Dale; three daughters, Sandy Nelson, Cheryl (Leo) Cantin and Linda (Paul) Dailidenas; three stepdaughters, Kim (Sam) Berry, Lorna (Les) Christensen and Donna (Quinn) Blatter; one stepson, Larry (Kathy) Roy; 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and one on the way. Leonard also has a very large extended family.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Harlowton Faith Chapel. Pastor Jerrod Williams will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Harlowton Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy and Wheatland County American Legion.
