Mary L. Dolena

Mary L. (Nemec) Dolena 102 of Great Falls and former Coffee Creek resident passed away Friday afternoon, January 5^th, 2018 in the Missouri River Manor in Great Falls of natural causes. She was born April 25, 1915 in Lawrence, MA the daughter of Michael and Dora (Navardaukas) Ross. The family moved to Cicero, IL where she received her schooling. On June 24, 1933 she was united in marriage to Henry J. (Hank) Nemec in Cicero, IL. During the beginning of World War II, she worked in a machine shop on airplane motor parts. Her husband Hank was transferred from Pearl Harbor to Long Beach, CA in 1945, Mary and son followed to Long Beach where she worked for the Navy at the Navy Yards working on binoculars.

April 1946 the family moved to Coffee Creek, MT where they opened and operated Hank's Super Market until September 1962. May 16, 1951 Mary was commissioned as Postmaster of Coffee Creek until retirement in August 1980. After her retirement they continued to live in Coffee Creek until August 1988 when they moved to the Eagles Manor in Great Falls. Henry preceded her in death in 1989.

On June 8, 1991 Mary married William S. (Bill) Dolena and continued living at the Eagles Manor. In August 2012 William and Mary moved to Cambridge Court. She was living in Missouri River Manor at the time of her death.

Mary was a member of our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Eagles #14 Auxiliary of Great Falls, past president and member of Retirees Montana Branch of National League of Postmasters, Coffee Creek 4-H Club, VFW Auxiliary #1087, Sisters of St. Casimir Auxiliary of Chicago, IL.

She is survived by her husband William S. (Bill) Dolena, son Henry Nemec (Arleen Heintzelman) of Great Falls; one grandson Lon (Patty) Nemec of Coffee Creek; five grandchildren, Dustin (Shannon) and Degan Barber, Darcie Jurenka, Linsee (Jermiane) Saunders, and Lance (Erin) Nemec, three great great grandchildren and a special dear friend Lois Stout Houchen of Sidney, MT.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hank in 1989, granddaughter LaDene Barber and sister Ann Galczak.

Graveside Services for Mary L. (Nemec) Dolena will be Thursday, January 11^th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Central Montana Memorial Gardens of Lewistown. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
