Mary R. "Rosie" Yaeger 75 of Hilger died early Friday morning, November 17th, 2017 in the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes. She was born December 3, 1941 in Pendleton, OR the daughter of James W. and Mary E. (Colwell) Raw. The family moved to Montana then to Pennsylvania where she started her schooling at Bairdstown. In 1954 they moved to back to Montana she continued her education where she graduated as Valdictorian from Moore High School in 1959. On May 22, 1959 she was united in marriage to Charles Yaeger in Lewistown and they made their home on the Armells Ranch near Hilger. Rosie worked at Valle Vista Manor as an aid and later as a cook at Valle Vista and at the Montana Mental Health Nursing Care Center until her retirement in the mid 2000's.
Spending time with her kids and grandkids was very important to Rosie, she enjoyed gardening, the outdoors, flowers, swimming, dancing especially at the country dances in the area, the haying season (mainly because of all the beautiful flowers) and china painting and giving her items to family and friends.
She was a member of Marie Chapter Order of Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Roy Junction Women's Club.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Charles; sons Corey (Angela) of Tifton, GA and Chris (Gisele) of Hilger, MT; sisters Roxie (Odell) Ecker of Coffee Creek, MT and Nancy Raw of Petaluma, CA; one sister-in-law Jean Raw of Lewistown; eight grandchildren Stephanie (Zack), Clayton, Natalie, Noah, Nadia, Bryce, Travis and Cassandra; two great grandchildren Miriam and Jack and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter Cynthia Thompson, one son Chuckie, one granddaughter Kayla, one brother James Raw and her parents.
Services for Mary R. "Rosie" Yaeger will be Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Presbyterian Church; private committal will be in the Roy Cemetery. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
