Rachel Hamilton

Rachel Hamilton, 20, of Billings went to her Heavenly Father on October 10, 2020.  Rachel was born March 23, 2000 in Billings to Colie and Sandy (Hassler) Hamilton. Graduating in 2019, she enjoyed competition in basketball, volleyball, and speech and debate. Rachel, with her horse Dutch, also competed in equestrian events. She had a talent for baking, art, photography and more baking.  

For years, via Trinity Lutheran Church, Rachel visited friends in Cross Lake, Manitoba, Canada, where she shared her testimony with hundreds of youth. Being fairly fluent in Spanish, the 4-H dumped her in Costa Rica for a summer where she developed a close bond to a family, and they made sure she came back to visit. One of the highlights of the return trip was escorting her mom to the ER instead of vice-versa. She spent lots of time in Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica.

Rachel's best friend Ryann can attest that she went to heaven, but not because she was an angel. "She had a huge heart, was funny,… but ever a prankster." Her dad blames her mom, but he knows where it really came from.

Her character of kindness and friendship left a big footprint, and now a big void, especially to her cousin Lucas and niece Mahlia. Rachel's unashamed servitude to Christ made her attractive to most everyone she met.

Rachel is survived and deeply missed by her mom Sandy, dad Colie; Three brothers Josiah (Lyndsey), Joshua both of Billings, and Joel of Bozeman; sister Candace (Aaron) Ahles of Billings, and a bunch of friends and relatives.

Burial Services will be Friday, October 16^th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lewistown City Cemetery. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 17^th, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Faith Evangelical Church located at 3145 Sweet Water Drive in Billings Montana. Everyone is welcome. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
