Rebecca E. Jenni

Peggy Jenni was born Rebecca Emily Conard at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lewistown, MT on August 30, 1926, the 8^th of 9 children born to Theo Hogeland and Reba (Rebecca M. Potts) Conard of the Danvers area. She passed away Friday, May 10 at Valle Vista Manor in Lewistown at the age of 92, surrounded by family.  Peggy was educated in country schools including the Moulton, Addison, and Snapp Schools and graduated from Fergus High School in 1944. She attended college at Montana State College in Bozeman for 3 years.

Peggy married Floyd Jenni on June 8, 1947 in Lewistown and became a devoted ranch wife and mother of 5 children.  She was a skilled seamstress, upholsterer, needle worker, and gardener and kept a lovely home on Beaver Creek for 64 years until moving to Lewistown in 2014.  She loved to read, hated to cook, and had a sharp sense of humor.

Peggy was an award-winning bowler and was active in her club of high school friends, the Glengarry Ladies Extension Club, the handbell choir in the Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile and many other community organizations, serving as Worthy Grand Matron of Eastern Star in 1988. She won many grand champion ribbons for her quilts and other needlework at the Central Montana fairs. Peggy served for thirteen years as the School Clerk for the King Colony rural school, until 1991.

She is survived by her husband Floyd of 72 years; son Gary Jenni (wife Kathryn) of Lewistown; daughters Cheryl Jenni (husband Dennis Skovgaard) of Billings, MT, Kathie Jenni of Beaumont, CA , Sandra Jenni Blair of Missoula, MT, and Debra Jenni of Alberton, MT; grandchildren Terry Jenni, Jamie Longtine, Corri Blair, Casey Blair, Chris Morin, Michael Corry, and LeeAnne Sindt; great grandchildren Maya and Levi Jenni, Bridger and Hunter Longtine, Reegan and Rylan Corry, and Ian, Abigail, and Alexander Sindt; sisters-in-law LaVerna Conard and Helen Jenni Rice; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Reba and Theo; siblings Mabel Conard Lucas, Mary (Tiny) Conard Grensten, Elsie Conard Brown, Harry Conard, Elmer Conard, Theodore (Ted) Conard, Jr., Ray Conard, and Robert (Bob) Conard; and several nephews.

A Private Family Service for Peggy has been held, cremation has taken place and committal will be at a later date in Central Montana Memorial Gardens.  The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Peggy's family expresses heartfelt thanks to the staffs of the Villa, Valle Vista and CMMC Hospice for the wonderful care they gave her.
