Richard W. (Dick) Todd 80 of Lewistown passed away Wednesday evening, May 29th 2019, with his daughter by his side, at the Central Montana Medical Center of natural causes. He was born June 14, 1938, Flag Day, in Lewistown the son of Willis and Vivian (Pasma) Todd. He received his education in Lewistown graduating from Fergus High School in 1956. He was a self-employed painter, painting highways and parking lots. On August 20, 1960 he was united in marriage to Charlotte "Cathy" Carlstrom in Lewistown. They lived in Minot, ND and he worked for Boeing, later moved to Great Falls doing various jobs and then back to in Lewistown and he worked for Tindall Construction until 1974. He then operated Todd's Aero Spraying, previously his father's business, until 1985 when he closed the business. He then went to work for Century Construction as the lead transport driver until he retired in 2003. He was a member of the Lewistown Fire Department serving from 1967 until 1988.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge both of Lewistown and a founding member of the Central Montana Crime Stoppers.
Dick loved to play poker and traveled to several tournaments over the years.
Charlotte "Cathy" preceded him in death in 2008, he was also preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his daughter Christine Todd of Lewistown; one brother Bob (Sandy) Todd of Arlington, WA; brothers-in-law Bert (Ruth) Carlstrom of Fort Benton, MT, Jim (Lana) Carlstrom in Colorado, Jim Radcliff of Great Falls, MT, Emmett Bolstad of Billings, MT and sister-in-law Freeda Terry of Winifred, MT; cousins, numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Dick Todd will be held Saturday, September 7th, 2019 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at his home, 714 Entrance Avenue, at his request cremation has taken place. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Friends are asked to make memorials to the Salvation Army of Lewistown or the charity of their choice and they may be left with the Cloyd Funeral Home. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
