Robert D. Elliott of Lewistown better known as Bob was born in Twin Falls, Idaho on August 29th 1948, he Married his 1st wife in 1966 had 3 children Alice who was stillborn, Annette of Wann, Oklahoma and Gordon of Spokane, Washington. Of which he raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he worked for Philip's petroleum company as a production analyst for 24 years. He later moved to Reno, Nevada where he met his 2nd wife of 21 years Teresa Elliott and helped to raise her youngest son Richard A. Butts IV of Huntington Beach, California to manhood, He was also stepfather to William Frank Turner of Lewistown Montana and Emerald Jean Turner of Seattle Washington. He's proceeded in death by his mother Betty and father Clive Elliott of Jerome, Idaho, and his son Gordon Elliott in June of last year. Bob was well known and loved in this community where he worked for the Council of Aging for 14 years as well as by those traveling through town he was always open and friendly with stories from his life. He was quick witted, he will be sorely missed by all who knew him, and worked with him, mostly he'll be missed by those who's hearts he touched in his special ways. It is with heavy hearts that we now have to say goodbye but this isn't the end as his legacy lives on with his family and those who were blessed to have him in their lives. He requested that this time off loss be a joyous celebration of his life.
A celebration of life will be held for Bob on Thursday, March 17th, 2022 in the Cloyd Chapel at 12:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Council of Aging in Lewistown. Council of Aging can provide transportation to the service for Bob, just call (406) 535-7486 to be put on their list. Friends are asked to make memorials to Council of Aging, ASPCA, Heart of Montana Animal Shelter, Tails as Old as Time or to the charity of their choice and they may be left with the Cloyd Funeral Home.
