Robert W. (Bob) Patterson 95 of Lewistown and former Denton resident died early Sunday morning, December 13th, 2020 in Valle Vista Manor of natural causes. He was born June 28, 1925 in Geraldine, MT the son of Orville and Zella (Webb) Patterson. He received his schooling at the Montague School. On August 11, 1946 he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Rowland in Fort Benton and the next day left to serve with the United States Army in the Philippines. He returned to the ranch at Geraldine following his discharge in 1948. They lived and ranched there until 1963 when they sold their ranch and purchased a ranch near Denton. In 1972 they sold their ranch and moved into Denton. He served many years as the Mayor of Denton and drove school bus for over 20 years retiring in the late 1980's. They continued to make their home in Denton until moving into the Villa in Lewistown in 2015. She preceded him in death in 2015 and he continue living in the Villa and later Valle Vista.

Bob was a very active resident of Denton as a member of the United Methodist Church, the Denton Lions Club traveling to many state functions and the Denton American Legion serving on the Honor Guard and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Club.

He is survived by two sons Dale of Escondido, CA and Mike of Missoula, MT; one daughter Gail Johnstone of Fort Benton, MT; his twin brother Bill of Great Falls, MT, half-brother Don Patterson in Arizona; half-sister Jean Rowland of Stanford, MT; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons Rick and Dave, a half-sister and his parents.

A Celebration of Life for Bob Patterson will be held next summer with committal to follow, cremation has taken place at his request. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
