Ronald Dean Nelson

August 23, 1959 — October 11, 2023

Ronald Dean Nelson, 64, of Grass Range passed away on October 11, 2023 at the Central Montana Medical Center in Lewistown. Ronald, born August 23, 1959; the son of Lewis and Esther Nelson was a true brother with the character of adventure and caring. He graduated from Grass Range Public School 1977 with lifetime friendships of his classmates. His work career was as a heavy equipment operator with multiple companies in Montana and Wyoming until retiring May 2022 from Fergus County Road Department Grass Range. His journey of life never deviated from his true character of being a strong friend of trust and worthiness. He worked to afford his true passions: hunting and fishing. Skilled and accomplished his freezer was full every fall. His achievements were captured by his mounts and tales told in pictures. Talented with an eye for creativity he was always welding or cooking up something new.

His hospitality over a beer was an open invitation to gather at the Bridge Bar for advisory sessions, building construction reviews, and laughter of a good time. It might cost you a dollar in a crib game.

Ronald is survived by his sisters Karen Delaney, Bonnie and Doug Soule; brothers George and Peggy Nelson, Greg Nelson with Shari Leinweber, Rory Nelson and Sister-in-law Aloya Nelson and his Labrador Companion Molly. His character influenced his nephews and Nieces and next generation Great Nephews and Nieces for his smile was approval.

“Tony” you showed us how to live, we will always be “Alll Righta”.

He is preceded by his parents and brothers Gary Nelson 2022, Lewis “Jack” Nelson 2001 and Brother-in-law Richard Delaney 2018.
