Ronald G. Baumann 69 of Lewistown passed away from cancer early Thursday morning, January 26th, 2017 at his home with his wife by his side. He was born July 23, 1947 in Beulah, ND the son of Paul & Larraine (Ziegler) Baumann. The family moved to Sidney, MT where he was raised and received his education graduating from Sidney High School in 1965. He then attended Eastern Montana College in Billings for 2 years and then Marine training school in San Diego in 1967 and served in the United States Marine Reserves from 1967 to 1975. In 1969 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Skillingberg in Homestead, MT. They moved to Billings where they lived until 1972 when they moved to Lewistown. Their two sons Christopher and Brian were born in Lewistown. He worked for Cenex until 1978 when he took a job working for the maintenance/engineering department at the Central Montana Medical Center. They divorced in 1996. He became facilities manager in 1999 and continued in that capacity until retiring in 2016. He was united in marriage to Joy Steele on February 26, 2000 and he welcomed her adult daughter Heidi into his life. They enjoyed many miles of open road on his motorcycle. Joy preceded him in death in 2008.
On March 3, 2011, he was united in marriage to Melissa Perrault in Lewistown.
Ron was a true gentleman and gentle man, well liked and respected by all. He loved motorcycles, his trucks, watching football, basketball and baseball. Ron enjoyed fishing throughout his entire life, hunting for many years, photography and art. He was always an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife Melissa of Lewistown; sons Christopher (LeAnn) of Minot, ND and Brian (Alex) of Lewistown; parents Paul & Larraine of Sidney, MT; sister Debbie (Jeff) Harper of Scottsdale, AZ; brother Jeff (Lori) of Fargo, ND; step-daughter Heidi (Dustin) Chambers of Edwardsville, IL; sister-in-law Meg Richard of Lewistown, MT and Jinny (John) VanHaelen of Norwich, CT; grandchildren Ace Baumann, Zeke Baumann, Chloe Baumann, Zachary Baumann and Emerson Chambers; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services for Ronald G. Baumann will be held in the spring, cremation has taken place at his request. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Ron’s memory may be made to Hospice of Central Montana, Central Montana Medical Center Foundation or a charity of their choice and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com
