Ross Vardy Lipke, 62, of Lewistown, died Tuesday, November 3rd, at his home. He was born December 7, 1957, in Lewistown the son of Erving (Bud) and Lorraine (Halverson) Lipke. He attended Hilger Grade School and graduated from Fergus High School in 1976. He married Barbara Jones of Hilger, but later divorced. In 1983 Ross married Patricia Schneider, He started his own business, Central Montana Lawn Care and Snow Removal. Many people enjoyed talking to Ross, discussing local history; and we all know He loved any excuse to talk about antiques and coins.
Ross was the favorite uncle of many nephews and nieces. Ross was a "collector" from an incredibly early age. He began collecting rocks, doorknobs, coins, stamps, antiques, trains, lamps, and incredibly old fur coats (anything old). When Ross was still in High School, he bought his first Model A, and was then hooked on old Model A's and Model T's. During parades he loved driving his old cars, he loved an excuse to drive his Model A. He always had a great attitude even when things could be at the worst.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; daughters, Annie (Darren) Neibel of Phillipsburg, Sarah (Anthony) Robison and Amanda (Patrick) Lipke, and son Daniel all of Lewistown and also a son Jessie Blood of Oklahoma; brothers Roger (Marcia) Lipke of Hilger and Ronald of Missoula; sister Renee Kuntz of Great Falls; grandsons Isaac and Ethan of Missoula and great grandson Brantley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Robin, and one infant brother.
A Celebration of Life for Ross Lipke will be held at a later time. Committal has taken place in the Hilger Cemetery, with the Cloyd Funeral Home, assisting with arrangements.
