Terrie Ann Burke Wester passed away on June 21, 2017 at North Florida Regional Medical Center after a brief, but sudden illness. Terrie was born in the beautiful city of Lewistown, Montana on February 24th, 1945, where she considered her heart to be the daughter of Marion & Esther (Dahl) Burke.
Terrie worked as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner at Lake City Veterans Administration Hospital where she spent her time taking care of veterans. She truly loved her job and ended up reluctantly retiring in 2007. She then volunteered at the Pregnancy Care Center of Lake City and of Live Oak where she helped with fundraising and ultrasounds for several years following her retirement. Terrie was also an active member of Epiphany Catholic Church and strongly supported the school there. Part of her service with the church was to take communion to the veterans at LCVA on Sundays.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, John of Live Oak, FL; daughter Sarah of Savannah, GA; son David of Live Oak, FL. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, food or cards that donations in her memory be sent to the Pregnancy Care Center at 130 NW Hilton Ave, Lake City, FL 32055.
A celebration of life will take place at Epiphany Catholic Church on Thursday the 29th at 4 p.m. All are welcome to attend who would like to celebrate her life.
Committal will take place later in the Lewistown City Cemetery in Lewistown, MT. Condolences for the family may be posted online at www.cloydfuneralhome.com.
