Terry Leigh Berger, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at her home on October 6, 2024, at the age of 71.
Born on May 13, 1953, in Minnesota, Terry was the eldest of five children and took great joy in caring for her younger siblings. Her love for family was evident throughout her life, especially during the countless trips to Minnesota to visit her adored grandmother Jessie. Terry and William Berger were married on June 3, 1972 in Great Falls, MT, and began their life together in Lewistown.
Terry was a vibrant spirit who enjoyed the outdoors and cherished her daily walks. She had a passion for storytelling, often recounting her joyful experiences as a majorette in high school and the fun adventures she had with her sons, Jarhett and Brett, during their childhood.
A devoted member of St. Leo's Catholic Church, Terry was deeply involved in her community and supported her sons' activities, always cheering them on from the sidelines. She proudly owned Foxey’s, a Women’s Clothing store where she enjoyed helping and fostering connections with her customers and friends. Her warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm for life touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
Terry is survived by her husband, Bill of Lewistown; her sons, Jarhett (Denice) of Lewistown and Brett (Amber) of Post Falls, ID; her cherished grandsons, Brayden, and Bryce; two brothers Michael (Patsy) of MT and Lenny (Laure) Johnson of Solo, MN; one sister Jean (Deano) LaVe of Billings, MT; sister-in-law Loretta Johnson of Billings, MT; her dearest friend Chris Feyk of Lewistown, who she considered a sister, her sister-in-law Nancy Hahn of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her brother Spencer Johnson, and her brother-in-law Les Hahn.
Memorial mass for Terry L. Berger will be Thursday, October 17th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Leo’s Catholic Church, cremation has taken place and committal will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date. The Cloyd Funeral Home is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made in Terry's memory to the Lewistown Redbirds or Post Falls American Legion Baseball, and they may be left at the Cloyd Funeral Home.
Terry will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering love and the joy she brought to all our lives.
