Terry Hal Mackey

Terry Hal Mackey, 85, of Lewistown passed away on July 10, 2024 of natural causes. Born August 30, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas, he served in the United States Navy for 20 years, rising to the rank of Chief Petty Officer. 

After working for the federal government as an accountant for an additional 20 years, he relocated to central Montana in 1998 as an avid hunter and fisherman. As a lifetime learner, he became proficient in multiple languages, well-versed in history, and a die-hard University of Texas Longhorns football fan. 

He is survived by his daughters, Terri Mackey Gustitis of College Station, Texas, and Jill Mackey Ivie of Austin, Texas, his son, Lyle Mackey of Lewistown, Montana, and six grandchildren.
